More Show-Offs at Lubec; Installment 4

This is a continuation of our magnificent day on Lubec Ridge, June 1st.

Here are two more show-off flowers, Shining Penstemon, but I call it Electric Blue.

And of course, Indian Paintbrush:

Here's what a book on Montana wildflowers says, "22 different species (of Paintbrush) occur in the state.  Hybridization occurs between species, complicating identification."  So we do get some gorgeous paintbrush colors.  There is a greenish-yellow one that is common to Lubec, and you'll see that the flower has a different shape.  My favorites are ones with burgundy coloring.

The rest of the flowers are coming soon!
